I want to know if my parents can file bankruptcy for me if they have power of attorney (in the state of GA)? I know I would have to go back for the meeting with the trustee and the counseling, but if they could file for me, that would really help in our situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I called an attorney and they told me USD$1600. They let you make payments, but won’t file until the whole thing is paid. Is that too much or just right?
